He sits there not saying a thing, he just stares at me. It’s been about ten minutes since he came in here. I'm guessing he is trying to wait me out and see if I crack.

I will not give him that satisfaction. I shift by placing my right leg over my left and I place my hands on my knee, all without breaking eye contact with him.

He has a sly grin on his face and I can see he is amused but getting frustrated.

One second he is the chair the next he is in front of me with fangs protruding from below his top lip. I do not waiver.

This pisses him off even more so he grabs me by both my arms and lifts me from the bed and tosses me into the wall.

I land with an ommph, but refuse to cry out in the searing pain I instantly feel when I hit. I lay there on the floor with a throbbing pain in my shoulder from hitting the wall. I rotate my shoulder gently and realize that it is not broken, just bruised. I manage to lift my head and look at him again, but I do not move any further.

He just starts laughing, grabs the chair, and raps on the door with his knuckle and it opens for him to exit. I am relieved when he leaves, but before he does he looks back on to me and I just glare at him with great defiance. He lets out a single burst of a laugh and turns to leave, closing the door behind him.

I wait until I hear their footsteps move further away and the door open and close at the end of the hall until I move from my position. I slowly manage to get myself off the floor and onto the bed.

I rub my shoulder. Then I hear footsteps come to the door. It’s Nathan.

“I’ve never seen Angus get that pissed with nothing being said. You must really have rubbed him the wrong way.”

“Not sure how, I just showed no fear. I don’t know when but Elric and the others will find me, it just matters what side the others here are on as to what he will do with them. He runs his coven as a democracy now while remaining in control. He gives them all a chance to voice everything before he makes his final decision and they all love and respect him for it.” I pause and look him in the eyes and ask. “Does Dimitri do that?”

Nathan remains quiet.

“I didn’t think so,” I say spitefully.

Nathan walks away from the door. I decide to lay down on the hard mattress and close my eyes for a minute.

I am worried about how Elric is managing this. He must be a wreck. I may be here a while, I honestly don’t think I'm in the state anymore. I was already located close enough to the border that I can be in any of the surrounding states.
